Compliance

Wolverhampton City Council (the "Authority") is an administering authority of the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) and is responsible for administering the West Midlands Pension Fund ("WMPF").

Although not required to be governed by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), the Fund does undertake investment activities and adheres to the FCA principles as best practice.

In addition to voluntarily complying with FCA rules, we are required to comply with the Local Government Pension Scheme Regulations and the Pensions Regulator's Code of Practice which set out the mechanics of how the Scheme should be run by us as an Administering Authority.
