West Midlands Integrated Transport Authority (WMITA) Pension Fund

The City of Wolverhampton Council is responsible for the management of the West Midlands Integrated Transport Authority (WMITA) Pension Fund, which is administered by Centro who formulate transport strategy and policy for the metropolitan area, incorporating strategic highways, freight, rail, bus and rapid transit networks.

This Fund is run completely independently of the West Midlands Pension Fund and has its own accounts, membership, literature (where relevant) and identity.

Although employees who are in the West Midlands Integrated Transport Authority (WMITA) Pension Fund are still subject to the rules and regulations of the Local Government Pension Scheme, no new members are admitted to the Fund. As such, the West Midlands Integrated Transport Authority (WMITA) Pension Fund is regarded as a 'closed fund'.

Nevertheless, the West Midlands Integrated Transport Authority (WMITA) Pension Fund regards communication with its members, both past and present, of great importance.
