Access and fairness consultation

On 15 May, The Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG) has released a consultation on proposed changes to the benefit regulations. The consultation aims to improve fairness and access within the scheme, ensuring security and support for its members. It covers various aspects of member benefits payable to LGPS members in England and Wales, with proposed changes in several areas, including survivor benefits and unpaid child-related leave, as well as reporting on the gender pension gap.
